One of The Things I Can’t Do..

Is GOLF.

Yup, that’s right. I don’t play golf  ’cause I can’t play golf. You know..The ’sport’ where you swing a club hard to hit a white ball so it gets high and far into the air and land somewhere near a hole?

Yeah.. That sport. I’m dropping any intentions how ever small I may have in my guts to learn and master that sport. Nope, not for me.

I had a few rounds of ‘driving’ as they call it, and it only asserts my previous decision. That GOLF is the one sport that is NOT FOR ME.

It’s hard to belief.. I know~ Since my father and younger siblings can swing well, I can’t. I had a few lessons when I was younger, when the twins were barely ten years old. They gripped the rules well, I did (my mind I mean) but my body didn’t. Maybe because I wasn’t built to bend and turn like that, maybe because I was meant to be running and throwing big balls around and not be stationary like Sorenstam and Kim can.

I had my youngest sister teach me the right posture and the way to swing, she dd her thing and was close to shrieking like hell. *lol* I kept moving my shoulders, or not turning my waist or having my hands to low.. I realised I kept swinging the club like I was swinging a softball bat. Hahaha~ At one point my sister said “You know how you look like?” and I said “What?” then she said “Like you’re messed up.”

And I can’t even begin to retaliate that little comment. Because it was true! My fingers ached (I think the screws need oiling), I can FEEL my lower back (if that’s any indication of a bad swing) and my neck is getting stiffer by the minute. I did manage to hit a few balls a couple of times and got them near the 100 mark, but that was it. I had enough.

Yup. Golf is SO not my cup of tea. But if you ever need anyone for team sports, I’m your girl. =)
